South Korean singer Aoora made his entry into Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 17 as a wild card contestant. Despite being from a different country, the Clandestin singer overcame language barriers and cultural differences, forging a bond with BB housemates. His quirks became a hit, striking the right chord with the masses. In a media interaction, Aoora professed his love for Bollywood, revealing that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were his favourite stars. So, it did not come as a surprise when the K-pop singer joined the “Mota” trend on Instagram, inspired by none other than Shahid Kapoor, who previously entertained fans with the same.

Dropping the hilarious video, Aoora captioned the post, “Meet Korean Punjabi Ajumma. Tu Motta Kinna Ho gaya. Totally inspired by Shahid Kapoor.” Wrapping a red dupatta around his head, the singer was captured lip-syncing to the lyrics of the funny audio. But it was his goofy and comedic expressions that arrested the attention of social media users. Holding a cup of beverage in his hand, Aoora executed a dramatic display of quirks, sometimes making strange faces and other times breaking into a smile.

Soon after the video surfaced on the internet, the internet community rallied to the comments, lauding his humorous take on the audio. Former Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ayeshaa Khan wrote, “Omgg aooraaa you killing it.” Abhishek Kumar, also an ex-participant of the show called Aoora a “cutiee”. “Day by day he is becoming desi,” pointed out one individual. “Man he is totally in character,” noted another.

Earlier, Shahid Kapoor dropped a similar video on Instagram, which instantly became a hit among fans. Presumably taking a sly jab at nosy neighbours and relatives, the actor’s sarcastic caption read, “My favorite kinda relative.” He was also draped in a shawl and held a mug. The masses were highly amused by his rib-tickling expressions and gestures.

Coming back to Aoora, the singer in a conversation with Free Press Journal revealed that he wishes to make his debut in Bollywood. “What I love the most about Bollywood are the freedom and the energy. I would really love to be in a Bollywood film,” he said. Aoora claimed that he watched both Jawan and Tiger 3 and loved the two films.
