Karan Wahi recently reunited with Jennifer Winget for his latest show, Raisinghani Vs Raisinghani.

Actor Karan Wahi is finally back on the screen as the ambitious and charming lawyer Virat Chaudhary in Raisinghani Vs Raisinghani. Not just this, Karan is also seen reuniting with his Dill Mill Gayye co-star Jennifer Winget after 15 long years, thus bringing a treat for fans altogether. Karan, who is primarily known for working on television and web shows, recently opened up about working in the film industry. Sharing his reason for not venturing into the film industry yet, the actor said that he would rather play a small part on TV, which is more “important and effective.”

In a conversation with the Indian Express, Karan said, “Yes, there was Bollywood work, but there were times when the films didn’t materialize. At the end of the day, I just don’t want to do a film for the heck of doing one. It is fun to watch yourself on the 70mm, but I would rather play a small part on TV, which is important and effective than just be a property on the film screen and satisfy my ego that I did a film.”

He further went on to emphasise that it’s not like he doesn’t want to work, but there should be enough to do in the film. “All of us want to know what we are doing when a script comes to us, it could be the biggest film, producer, or director, but if I am not doing much in the film, after that I will anyways not get anything offered. That’s why it has not been pursued; it’s not like nobody wants to work,” the actor added.

‘The audience is changing and coming back to a character over and over again’

Besides speaking about his interest in films, Karan also highlighted how the Indian audience is changing, further stating that OTT is the future. “Our Indian audience is used to coming back to a character over and over again. On TV, unfortunately, there are certain restrictions you have to abide by. OTT breaks those norms. I feel OTT is the future. Unfortunately, we give credibility to certain platforms, and that norm should completely change,” he said.
