Rupali Ganguly Wins Big For Anupamaa At Dadasaheb Phalke IFF Awards 2024 – News18

Rupali Ganguly is now widely known for her titular character in the popular show Anupamaa. The show and Rupali’s character struck a chord with innumerable women, who now look to Anupamaa as an inspiration. Undoubtedly, the show is a TRP topper and has earned the actress a massive fan base. At the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024, the actress was honoured for her performance and received the highly coveted Best Actress Award in the television category.

Rupali Ganguly arrived at the prestigious award ceremony with her husband, Ashwin Verma, and son, Rudransh. The actress was seen in a vibrant traditional saree set in a soft pink hue with blue intricate borders. She paired it with a matching blouse and a pair of dangling earrings. On the other hand, her husband was dressed in a black suit, and her son wore a black sweatshirt and khaki trousers. The trio briefly posed for the paparazzi outside the venue.

This is not the first time Rupali Ganguly has been honoured at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards. Last year, she won an award for the most versatile actress in a television series category. Rupali had posted a series of photos on Instagram after receiving the prestigious prize, along with a lengthy note of gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout her journey on the show. While she thanked the team and other members, she posted a picture with her son and wrote, “My Biggest Award Rudransh holding the most prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award 2023. Honoured, Humbled and Overwhelmed by this recognition.”

Rupali Ganguly’s popularity has been soaring ever since she started playing the lead role in Anupamaa. Recently, the actress bagged the iconic Gold Awards 2024 for Best Actress in the popular TV show category. Expressing her gratitude, the actress told the media that before Anupamaa, she had never received awards. She stated, “I never got an award earlier. After doing so many shows and playing iconic roles in Sarabhai VS Sarabhai, Sanjeevani, and many more, I never won an award individually. I didn’t even receive an award during my school days. But, because of Anupamaa, from the time the show came into my life, I have been getting this award and recognition all over the country.”

Anupamaa airs on Star Plus and is produced under the banner of Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production.
