After Dhirubhai Ambani passed away in 2002, his family decided to buy the property in its entirety and convert the mansion into a memorial and a museum in his honour. The mansion was named ‘The Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial House’ and was inaugurated in 2011 by his wife, Kokilaben Ambani, and his sons, Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani.
The mansion is divided into two sections, with one being private and the other open to the public, each with its own separate entry and exit point. The public section showcases the life and achievements of Dhirubhai Ambani through photographs, documents, awards, and personal belongings. The private section is reserved for the Ambani family and their guests, who can stay in the mansion and enjoy its facilities. The mansion also has a library, a conference room, a meditation room, and a prayer hall.
