The new iOS 17.4 version brings major changes for battery cycle of iPhone users
Apple continues to focus on the battery health of iPhone and making big changes will keep these users happy.
Apple says the people who bought the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models in 2023 can expect their models to last longer than first informed. That’s right, the company has surprisingly now increased the battery life span of these models, which means the iPhones can handle more charging cycles without deteriorating in quality and performance.
The new iOS 17.4 version is credited with the changes as the new features in Battery settings seem to allow Apple to increase the lifespan of the iPhone battery, and in this case, people who bought the iPhone 15 series models will surely feel happy about the improvements.
What the new update means is that iPhone 15 users can see the battery retain 80 percent of its original capacity up to 1000 charging cycles, compared to the 500 cycles that the company earlier mentioned for these models.
The new updated figures of battery cycle is applicable for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max. Apple claims the older iPhone models still continue with their 500 charging cycle but it seems the company is looking at ways it can improve the battery life of these iPhones as well.
Apple launched the iPhone 15 series in September last year so it will take a while before the models hit their stipulated charging cycles, but it is good to know that Apple is working on these changes. The company has been looking at improving the performance on the software level and these details suggest the efforts are coming to fruition.
Apple has been caught in the batterygate scandal over the years, so the fact that the company is working to fix on these issues and not throttle performance is a welcome sign for consumers and anybody eager to buy an iPhone.
