Thousands of users experienced trouble using social media platforms Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday. Meta platforms were restored later.

Facebook users were unable to log into their accounts while those using Instagram were unable to refresh their feeds. 14,864 users reported Instagram outages while 12,103 people reported outages on Facebook in the evening, as per Downdetector.

Besides this, users also faced problems with Threads. As per The Verge, when opening the app, it displays an error message that says “Sorry, something went wrong. Try again.”

Meanwhile, micro-blogging site X owner Elon Musk said, “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working.”

Netizens shared funny posts on X, formerly Twitter after they were unable to use these three Meta platforms.

In a cryptic post, X from its official account wrote, “We know why you’re all here rn”

Meta spokesperson Andy Stone confirmed that people had trouble accessing their platforms.

“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone wrote on X.

“Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” he added.
