Nothing Phone 2a Goes Through The Dreaded Drop And Scratch Test: Here’s What Happened

[ad_1]

Nothing Phone 2a is a solid mid-range device that is battling in a crowded market. But like every other phone, the Phone 2a has been put through the dreaded drop and scratch tests recently. The results might surprise some of you, but all in all Nothing seems to have found the right balance between quality and value.

The Phone 2a was dropped multiple times with the hope that the device will break up, after all it is made of less expensive materials, especially on the frame and the back panel.

Nothing Phone 2a Drop Test: How Did It Fare?

The Phone 2a was put through a gruelling round of drop tests but much to their surprise, the device held up quite well. In fact, the back panel made of plastic did not break into pieces, and they just saw some scratches.

The front of the Phone 2a probably could be the weaker link, and we have noticed during our time that the screen can be susceptible to the keys and coins lying in your pocket and you notice the abrasive nature of the screen right away. Nothing has used the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer to protect the screen, but it only does an ok job.

The Phone 2a is probably the most durable phone you can buy in the sub Rs 25,000 bracket, which is a big feat and shows that Nothing has managed to get the balance right with its cost cuts without letting the overall quality take a big drop.

As for the main features, the Phone 2a features an AMOLED 120Hz refresh rate screen, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. You get a dual-rear camera setup of 50MP sensors, and a 32MP front camera. The device has the biggest battery out of any Nothing Phone, with a 5000mAh unit that supports 45W wired charging but no wireless charging on offer.
