We’ve witnessed phones featuring substantial batteries, from 5000 mAh to 6000 mAh cells and beyond. But, what if we informed you that a phone with an enormous 28000 mAh battery is launching soon? It might be hard to believe, but it’s true. The Avenir Telecom’s Energiser Hard Case P28K is an Android smartphone equipped with a colossal 28,000 mAh battery cell, as initially reported by The Verge.
As claimed by the company, the smartphone is rated to run for almost a week, and due to being rugged, it does pack in an IP69 rating to save you from the elements. More specifically, it has a talk time of 122 hours and a standby time of an insane 2252 hours.
According to The Verge, the device is quite thick, measuring 27.8mm, and has a weight exceeding half a kilo at 570g (equivalent to the combined weight of three iPhone 15 Pro units). As for the specifications, it may not leave you impressed. It features a MediaTek MT6789 chipset paired with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 6.78” LCD panel, and comes pre-installed with Android 14.
Further, the device will go on sale later this year for a price of €249.99 (about Rs 22,000).
That said, this is a purpose-built device that should appeal to people who want endurance and durability more than anything else in a smartphone. So, if you want a phone with a battery that lasts for a week in regular use, you may want to check this phone out. But remember, availability is always a question with these types of devices.
