Truecaller Introduces New AI-Powered ‘Max’ Feature To Block All Spam Calls

[ad_1]

Truecaller has developed a new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered function that lets users get rid of spam calls. The new feature, which is part of the Max upgrade, prevents all calls that are not from an approved contact or are determined to be spam by its AI algorithm. The feature, which is exclusively available on the Android app, provides improved protection against spam and fraudsters.

The new feature would reject all calls that the AI considers spam, regardless of whether they are listed in the company’s database. Previously, the choice to block a certain number was made based on how it appeared in the company’s database, as well as the individual’s proactive screening.

Furthermore, Apple prohibits Truecaller and other caller ID services from directly analysing and blocking spam calls, therefore this new capability is exclusive to Truecaller Premium users on Android. In addition, the new functionality comes less than a month after Truecaller debuted call recordings and AI-powered transcriptions in India.

While the feature does warn customers that they may miss some legitimate calls, and the company promises to listen to user input, the firm has not divulged its process for identifying spam calls. Users can report calls as spam, although it is unclear whether Truecaller employs additional methods to detect such numbers on its own.

AI Spam Blocking Feature On Truecaller: Steps To Use

– First, ensure that you have taken the Truecaller premium subscription.

– Go to the Truecaller app – Settings – Select Block.

– Now, you can select the level of protection; click the Max option to enable the AI spam-blocking capability.

Truecaller Premium Subscription in India: Price Details

The prices of these subscriptions range from Rs 179 per month for the Connect tier to Rs 299 for the Assistant Family tier. Meanwhile, yearly costs start at Rs 539 for the Connect tier and rise to Rs 5,000 for the Gold tier.
