Google Pixel 8a launch in India has been announced this week. Most of us expected Google to keep the big launch for the I/O 2024 keynote next week but the company has decided it can’t wait to show its new Pixel. The Pixel 8a is the latest iteration of the Pixel a-series from the brand that is looking to appeal to the mid-range consumers. Google is powered by the new Pixel 8a with the Tensor G3 chipset like its premium brothers.

Google Pixel 8a has launched in India for Rs 52,999 which gets you the base 128GB model. You have to pay Rs 59,999 for the 256GB variant of the phone. Pixel 8a will go on sale in India from May 14.

The Pixel 8a sports a 6.1-inch Actua OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone weighs 188 grams and comes with IP67 rating like the previous model. Google has powered the Pixel 8a with the Tensor G3 chipset that also has the Titan M2 security co-processor.
You get the Pixel 8a with 8GB RAM but this year Google is offering it in 128GB and 256GB variants. The other big change with the Pixel 8a is that you have Android 14 out of the box and the promise of 7 years of security and OS updates support like the Pixel 8 series.
Talking about cameras, Pixel 8a once again comes with a dual-rear system that consists of a 64MP wide and 13MP ultrawide sensors. The front of the phone has a 13MP shooter. Google has packed the Pixel 8a with a 4492mAh battery that supports wired and wireless charging.
